The base of my Black Vanilla cookieron is wonderfully fragrant browned butter, @Valrhona dark chocolate, a pinch of fleur de sel (a delicate, hand-harvested sea salt known as the "flower of salt"), and loads of vanilla. I gave the recipe a twist by adding a touch of activated charcoal — this is what gives my crisp, buttery cookie its truly special deep black color.
Between the two cookie layers lies a silky vanilla ganache, made creamy with @Valrhona’s less sweet white chocolate and Madagascan vanilla.
